English Language Challenges

Hello!

Today I want to tell you about my experience in the English language.

Although I think it is one of the most globalized languages and therefore very important to learn, it has taken a lot of time to root inside me, somehow it exasperates me to not being able to learn it faster, also starting from my experience in school around this topic was not the best, not because of the teachers, but because of the program, until my sophomore year they taught me the same, then in my junior year I saw from my teacher a real commitment to our learning, but the school change the teacher for my class. When I arrived at the university I was tested to know my level, which was the second level; the problem is that when I got to English in college, I really felt I did not know anything except "loose" words. As for the blog, I like the interactive way it has, but it complicates me the fact of having to write correctly, besides of that, perhaps it would be more stimulating to make the entries about free topics, that each one enjoy and like to write about.

As for my difficulties, I emphasize the fact that my brain is blocked by every sentence and question. Innerly I feel, that it is difficult for me to speak (although in general this is in Spanish and English) (very important thing since it is the main way to communicate), besides I would like to improve my writing and reading, to understand that it is not as difficult as you think. Maybe one of the problems I find for that is that in my daily life I do not use English every day, in general my style of music points to songs without lyrics (classical music), so I do not practice listening or talking.

Finally I can make a self-criticism, sometimes I surrender very easily.

Changes to my Study Program

Hi people!

Today I’m writing about change of ranking that have my study program.

The “ranking” is a method of course’s inscription, based in the hierarchy of students through their qualifications in the semester, but it isn’t correct because the professors have different ways to evaluate, for example, a teacher may think that a good qualification is a 5.0, in a scale of 1.0 to 7.0 and other may think that a 5.0 is a very bad grade, and because of that the last ones give better grades to their students.

This year my career will change the ranking of qualifications for the happiness ranking.
The ranking of happiness, changes the way of taking the courses since this makes the student choose between teachers that they would make them feel “more happy” or “sadder”, leaving the courses that they don’t care much about with teachers they may not like. This method will help the welfare of the School of Government, since each student will stop feeling measured by a grade, which only means how you felt in the moment and that would affect how you take your courses in the next semester, now that will change into a whole other thing, which although we know is subjective, indicates the real preferences of the students, in addition there will be a greater mixture between the sections, that is, those that with the old ranking were above average will relate to those who were below it.

One of the biggest benefits is the fact of making new friendships with colleagues that we only saw from distance or did not even know they study here at all, so because of that, groups could get to be more diverse. It should also be noted that the results of the ranking can be modified, giving greater satisfaction to the students.
This has been my topic for today, blessings.
